RCB tops IPL teams in social media buzz, influencer mentions, and engagement, driving a projected 20% brand value surge.
After years of close calls and viral heartbreak, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) long-awaited IPL championship may now fuel a new milestone: a brand value crossing $140 million, according to influencer marketing intelligence platform Qoruz.
In 2024, RCB held the third spot in brand value at $117M, behind CSK ($122M) and MI ($119M). But their 2025 title, combined with a projected 20% YoY growth and unmatched digital influence, places them in prime position to become the league’s most valuable franchise.
On social media, RCB leads the pack. The team boasts 21.5 million Instagram followers, with an average of 4.8 million views per reel and an engagement rate of 5.80%-among the highest in Indian sports. On YouTube, RCB has 5.3 million subscribers and over 4,000 videos, keeping fans engaged with behind-the-scenes content and player features.
As of June 3, RCB led IPL influencer buzz with 74.6K mentions, far ahead of MI (22.3K) and CSK (19.2K). The team also recorded a record 16.2% influencer engagement rate.
Virat Kohli remains a major cultural force, generating 62.6K influencer mentions, more than Shreyas Iyer (18.5K) and MS Dhoni (13.4K) combined.
According to Praanesh Bhuvaneswar, CEO and co-founder of Qoruz, “RCB has long understood it’s more than a team-it’s a lifestyle. From their Puma collab to the RCB Bar & Café and the RCB Innovation Lab, they’ve built community year-round.”
Aditya Gurwara, co-founder and head of brand alliances at Qoruz, added, “This isn’t just about fan loyalty-it’s about how RCB has mastered digital culture. This win only amplifies what they’ve been building for years.”
