Tinder has brought back Queer Made Weekend, kicking off with a New Delhi edition on June 8 at DLF Promenade, with the Mumbai edition scheduled for June 21 at Famous Studio. Curated by Gaysi, the event celebrates queer talent and entrepreneurship through live performances and a marketplace of queer-owned brands. Entry is free with RSVP.
Delhi’s line-up included Rani Ko-HE-Nur, DJ Della, Lola & Mohan, pop group DUA, LadyFingers, and Pavani Mehra-representing a mix of music, activism, and cultural expression.
The marketplace featured brands like FruitySideUp (illustration), House of Hestia and Ro’s Apothecary (candles), Palat and Planet (fashion), and Astitva and Sheer (jewellery). It offered attendees the chance to engage directly with queer creators.
“This event brings Pride into real-world spaces,” said Anukool Kumar, Head of Marketing, Tinder India.
Gaysi founder Sakshi Juneja added, “It’s a platform for visibility and support year-round.”
Tinder’s latest data shows 30% of matches are between LGBTQ+ users, with a 66% rise in queer matches year-over-year. Among Gen Z, 76% express openness to gender and sexual fluidity, and 54% of LGBTQIA+ youth say they came out on Tinder before doing so offline.
Pride stickers return in-app with options like Proud, Ally, and Protect Trans People. For every sticker used in June, Tinder will donate $1 to the Human Rights Campaign, up to $100,000 USD.
