NDTV has welcomed senior anchor-reporter Malika Malhotra to its editorial team, reinforcing its commitment to credible, purpose-led journalism. With nearly a decade of experience in broadcast media, Malhotra is recognized for her deep, people-first approach to storytelling.
She gained national attention for her extensive coverage of the farmers’ protest, spending 100 consecutive days at the Singhu border, reporting up to twelve hours daily. What began as a routine assignment became a mission to uncover and humanize the stories behind the headlines – earning the trust of protestors and presenting their voices with integrity and nuance.
Malhotra also returned to Joshimath, Uttarakhand, well after the media cycle had moved on from the land subsidence crisis. Her follow-up reports highlighted ongoing struggles faced by displaced families, reflecting her belief in journalism as an act of care, not just coverage.
“NDTV has always valued calm, clarity, and connection. For me, journalism isn’t about chasing noise – it’s about getting closer to what truly matters,” said Malhotra. “Audiences want insight and honesty. NDTV has earned their trust, and I’m proud to join that legacy.”
Rahul Kanwal, Group CEO and Editor-in-Chief, added:
“We’re delighted to have Malika on board. She exemplifies the kind of honest, grounded journalism we stand for. Her work will add depth and purpose to our editorial direction.”
Malhotra’s upcoming show on NDTV India will focus on relevant, relatable stories from across Bharat – told with empathy, insight, and intention.
