Spotify has announced robust second-quarter results for 2025, driven by continued growth in its subscriber base and overall user engagement.
The platform’s paid subscribers rose 12% year-on-year, reaching 276 million, while monthly active users (MAUs) increased 11% to 696 million-marking Spotify’s second-strongest Q2 ever in terms of user additions.
Quarterly revenue climbed 10% year-on-year to €4.2 billion. The company also reported a gross margin of 31.5%, an improvement of 227 basis points, and operating income of €406 million, reflecting its ongoing focus on profitability.
Spotify highlighted that paid subscriber additions in the first half of 2025 were more than 30% higher than the same period last year, underscoring the brand’s strong momentum across global markets.
