New identity aims to unify its growing global portfolio under a single corporate brand
Hospitality major OYO has announced a significant corporate rebranding, renaming its parent entity Oravel Stays to PRISM, reflecting its evolution into a global travel and hospitality ecosystem. The move comes ahead of the company’s much-anticipated public listing, signaling its ambition to operate at a broader, international scale.
The new name, PRISM Life-or simply PRISM-was revealed by Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and Chairman of OYO, in a letter to shareholders. He stated that the name will serve as the umbrella identity for OYO’s expanding business units, while the OYO brand will continue to operate as the flagship consumer-facing name, particularly in the budget and midscale travel segments.
The name PRISM was chosen from over 6,000 entries submitted via a global naming competition, showcasing the company’s focus on community-driven evolution and inclusivity.
Diversified Portfolio Under PRISM:
- Hotels: OYO, Motel 6, Townhouse, Sunday, Palette
- Vacation Homes: Belvilla, DanCenter, CheckMyGuest, Studio Prestige
- Extended Stays: Studio 6 (via G6 Hospitality acquisition, US)
- Workspaces & Celebrations: Innov8, Weddingz.in
- Technology Solutions: AI-driven tools, analytics, and partner platforms for hospitality businesses
This strategic rebranding allows PRISM to better integrate and manage its multi-brand, multi-market portfolio, while leveraging the strong recall of the OYO brand among consumers.
Founded in 2012, OYO has rapidly expanded to over 35 countries, serving more than 100 million customers globally. The transition to PRISM marks a new chapter in its journey, aligning with its IPO roadmap and global ambitions.
