Terribly Tiny Tales and Maybelline Launch Gen Z Microdrama ‘Pookie’

The four-part series explores friendship, first love, and self-expression, while celebrating beauty and confidence.

Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT) has premiered Pookie, a four-episode microdrama created in collaboration with Maybelline New York to promote its SuperStay Matte Ink collection. The series dives into the chaotic, heartfelt, and funny moments of college life through the story of Raima (played by lifestyle creator Tarini Shah) and Arko, as they navigate friendship, first love, and the ups and downs of growing up.

By weaving beauty and confidence into its narrative, Pookie speaks directly to Gen Z, highlighting how makeup and self-expression are integral parts of their everyday lives.

Jessica Rode, General Manager, Maybelline New York India, said:

“Confidence and self-expression are at the heart of today’s generation. Pookie gave us the perfect opportunity to connect with our consumers through a story that feels authentic and relevant. The microdrama format allowed us to engage with young audiences in a way that went beyond traditional campaigns and created a meaningful connection between the brand and its viewers.”

Tarini Shah’s presence adds relatability to the character of Raima, ensuring that the story resonates with TTT’s large Gen Z audience.

Anuj Gosalia, Founder & CEO, Terribly Tiny Tales, added:

Pookie is fun, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in everyday experiences. It’s always special when brands like Maybelline support us and help bring these stories to life. Together, we are building a slate of content that continues to connect with our growing audience.”

Pookie premiered on TTT’s YouTube channel with episodes dropping daily from 27 to 30 September 2025, inviting viewers to binge-watch and relive the joy, drama, and nostalgia of college life.
