Mumbai witnessed a spectacular celebration of football as Usain Bolt traded his sprinting spikes for football boots in a 5v5 exhibition match curated by PUMA India at Mukesh Mills. The event brought together players from Mumbai City FC and Bengaluru FC, alongside Bollywood celebrities, creating a unique fusion of sport and entertainment.
Known for his love of football, Bolt thrilled fans with bursts of speed, skillful touches, and playful competition, switching sides during the match and keeping the energy levels sky-high throughout the evening.
The match kicked off with Bollywood actor and PUMA brand ambassador Kareena Kapoor Khan conducting the toss, which Bengaluru FC won. She cheered pitch-side, adding glamour and excitement to the action.
Bolt, reflecting on the experience, said, “Football has always been one of my first loves after track & field. Playing in Mumbai alongside athletes, celebrities, and fans was electric. The passion, the noise, the atmosphere-this is the kind of high that stays with you long after the final whistle.”
