Godrej Enterprises Group reinforces legacy of progress with renewed purpose-driven brand narrative

Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG), the diversified engineering and design-led conglomerate with a 128-year heritage, has reaffirmed its commitment to pioneering progress for future generations through a renewed wave of purpose-led storytelling and initiatives. Central to this effort is the launch of a new brand film, “Did I do something new today?”-a creative articulation of the Group’s focus on curiosity, innovation, and meaningful impact.

The film builds on the Group’s refreshed identity introduced last year, defined by a bold purple palette symbolising modernity, dynamism and aspiration. Guided by this revitalised brand philosophy, GEG is embedding its purpose across its diverse businesses-from engineering contributions that advance national capabilities to design-led innovations reshaping everyday experiences.

Developed by Lowe Lintas, the brand film urges viewers to embrace curiosity as a daily driver of transformation. By drawing from the Group’s storied legacy-from inventing India’s first springless lock to engineering breakthroughs in aerospace-the narrative positions curiosity as the foundation of progress.

Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director, Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “Progress begins with a spark of curiosity. Inspired by our legacy and the philosophy of my grandfather, Naval Godrej, this film encourages all of us to pause and ask whether we pushed our imagination today. When curiosity becomes a habit, innovation and purpose naturally follow.”

GEG’s purpose is reflected in its long-term commitments: achieving 50% of revenue from sustainable products by 2032, deepening biodiversity conservation, enhancing consumer experiences, and advancing engineering excellence. Its businesses continue to drive impact-from Interio’s refreshed identity and omnichannel growth to Godrej Appliances’ recognition in human- and planet-centric design, and contributions to India’s space and clean-energy missions.

Highlighting the intent behind the new film, Sumeet Bhojani, Head – Brand & Strategic Insights, added, “A year after our repositioning, we remain focused on fostering a culture of curiosity and creativity. ‘Did I do something new today?’ is more than a question-it is a mindset that fuels innovation across GEG.”

Founded in 1897, Godrej Enterprises Group continues to uphold its legacy of trusteeship, innovation, and sustainable progress, shaping solutions that define the future while staying rooted in its enduring purpose.
