Plush partners with Zostel to support unplanned menstrual needs

Plush has partnered with hostel chain Zostel to address the challenge of unexpected menstrual needs faced by women travellers. The collaboration is designed to support menstruators who may find themselves unprepared or without access to period-care products while travelling, particularly in unfamiliar destinations.

As part of the initiative, women guests checking into Zostel properties will receive a compact period-care pouch. The pouch contains Plush sanitary pads along with essential items, offering immediate support in situations where travellers may not have anticipated their period or are unable to source products quickly.

The partnership is rooted in a shared understanding of the anxiety that unplanned menstrual situations can cause while on the move. By making period-care products readily available at check-in, Plush and Zostel aim to remove a common but often overlooked stress point from the travel experience.

Commenting on the collaboration, Ketan Munoth, co-founder of Plush, said that travel should be about discovery rather than discomfort. He noted that many women have experienced moments of panic when caught off-guard by their period while travelling, and the initiative is intended to ensure that comfort and care are always within reach.

Aviral Gupta, CEO of Zostel, echoed the sentiment, stating that travel should feel freeing, not anxiety-inducing. He added that the partnership reinforces Zostel’s commitment to creating inclusive spaces where women feel welcomed, supported and able to explore without hesitation.

The rollout of the initiative begins this month across Zostel locations nationwide. Both brands view the collaboration as part of a broader effort to improve travel experiences for women and address gaps in access to essential hygiene products.
