Instamart has unveiled its latest Christmas digital campaign built around a reimagined version of Daler Mehndi’s iconic 1990s track Bolo Taara Ra Ra. For the campaign, the quick-commerce platform acquired official rights to the song and adapted it into a festive rendition that reinforces Instamart’s promise of delivering essentials within 10 minutes.

The digital film centres on a playful narrative of a child who imagines himself as a Christmas star, with the familiar tune acting as the trigger for a series of celebratory moments unfolding across different parts of the country. These vignettes come together to highlight the chaos and charm of last-minute festive preparations, seamlessly linking the story to Instamart’s positioning around quick access to Christmas essentials such as decorations, gifts and festive treats.

Nostalgia and music serve as the emotional anchors of the campaign, while Christmas is portrayed as a widely embraced cultural celebration rather than a niche festival. By reworking a well-known track from the ’90s, the film aims to strike a chord with a broad audience while remaining rooted in recognisable, local cultural cues.

Commenting on the campaign, Mayur Hola, head of brand at Swiggy, said that Christmas often arrives unexpectedly, catching people mid-celebration and mid-shopping list. He added that the film serves as a light-hearted reminder that festivities should not be interrupted by last-minute errands. According to him, Instamart continues to present global festivals through an Indian lens, adding more reasons to celebrate, while ensuring everything needed-whether thoughtful, decorative or urgent-arrives in just 10 minutes.

The film continues Instamart’s established approach of playful, culturally referential storytelling for festive campaigns. Alongside the digital rollout, Instamart is also offering a curated range of Christmas-related products on its platform.
