The Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) has unveiled its Season 2 campaign film, Poora UP Khelega Kabaddi, ahead of the league’s return on December 24, 2025, at Noida Indoor Stadium. Conceptualized by V1 Media, the film highlights kabaddi’s grassroots roots through the journey of a young boy.
The narrative opens with the boy sketching a kabaddi court using marking powder, symbolising the sport’s local beginnings. His journey spans multiple cities across Uttar Pradesh, showcasing kabaddi’s deep presence in everyday life, before culminating at the Noida Indoor Stadium, where professional competition takes place.
The campaign aims to connect informal street-level play with the structured, aspirational league, emphasising how early participation feeds into professional growth. Sambhav Jain, founder and director of SJ Uplift Kabaddi, said, “Kabaddi is a sport that begins in streets, grounds, and everyday spaces across Uttar Pradesh. This film captures that journey from the first spark of aspiration to the professional stage of UPKL.”
UPKL Season 2 will see 12 teams compete in 69 matches over 18 days, all hosted at Noida Indoor Stadium. The campaign film will be broadcast across television and digital platforms, with partners including Zee Bollywood, &Pictures HD, Anmol Cinema 2, and ZEE5.
By spotlighting local talent and the sport’s widespread cultural roots, the campaign reinforces UPKL’s commitment to nurturing grassroots passion while building a structured league that resonates with the people of the state.
