Hyundai Motor India Limited has appointed Tarun Garg as its Managing Director and CEO effective January 1, 2026, marking the first time an Indian executive will lead the company in its 29-year history. With over 32 years of automotive industry experience, Garg steps into the role as Hyundai enters a new growth phase, focusing on future-ready mobility, customer experience and localisation. Under his leadership, HMIL plans investments of ₹45,000 crore through FY2030 to expand electric and hybrid vehicles, connected technologies, and strengthen India’s position as a global manufacturing and export hub.
