Cheil X, an independent full-service agency and part of the Cheil SWA Group, has announced key leadership elevations to strengthen its operations across India’s major markets. The agency has appointed Ritesh Rao as head of operations for its Mumbai office, while Kanika, previously vice president, has been elevated to lead the Delhi office.

In his new role, Ritesh Rao will focus on driving business growth, operational excellence, and integrated delivery for Cheil X in Mumbai. With over two decades of industry experience, Rao has worked across integrated marketing, brand transformation, growth strategy, and client leadership. Prior to joining Cheil X, he served as CEO of 26FIVE Global Lab. His earlier stints include senior roles at Creativeland Asia, Isobar, and Lowe Lintas, where he worked across sectors such as FMCG, media, automotive, technology, and consumer services.

Commenting on his appointment, Rao said that creativity remains central to effective advertising, and creative transformation lies in strengthening collaboration across platforms, formats, and consumer touchpoints. He added that Cheil X’s integrated approach presents an opportunity to create meaningful and impactful work as creativity, technology, and culture increasingly converge.

Meanwhile, Kanika will lead Cheil X’s Delhi operations, building on her experience as vice president. Speaking about her elevation, she highlighted Cheil’s strength as an integrated marketing agency offering tech-first solutions across the marketing funnel. From brand strategy and creative to commerce, experience, and performance, she noted that the agency’s end-to-end model enables seamless collaboration and effective problem-solving for brands navigating a rapidly evolving business environment.
