UNIQLO has announced a global partnership with British tennis star Emma Raducanu, naming her its newest global brand ambassador. The 2021 US Open champion-the first British woman in over four decades to win a Grand Slam singles title-will represent the brand at tournaments worldwide, beginning with the Indian Wells Open in the United States this March.
As part of the association, Raducanu will promote UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy internationally. She joins an esteemed line-up of global ambassadors that includes tennis legend Roger Federer, wheelchair-tennis champion Shingo Kunieda, and Academy Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett.
Beyond wearing the brand on court, Raducanu will collaborate with UNIQLO on the design and functionality of her match apparel, ensuring performance and comfort align with her competitive needs. The partnership also extends to community engagement initiatives, including participation in youth-focused programmes such as the UNIQLO Next Generation Development Program, which supports aspiring tennis players globally.
Commenting on the collaboration, Raducanu said she looks forward to promoting LifeWear through her tennis journey and connecting with young people worldwide. Koji Yanai, Group Senior Executive Officer at Fast Retailing, welcomed Raducanu to the brand, highlighting her resilience, determination and thoughtful personality as qualities that reflect UNIQLO’s values.
Through this partnership, UNIQLO aims to strengthen its global presence in sport while reinforcing its commitment to innovation, inclusivity and positive social impact.
