MS Dhoni has come on board as brand ambassador for AI-powered English-speaking platform SpeakX, following his earlier investment in the company. The partnership arrives alongside SpeakX’s new digital video campaign, “Muh Khol, English Bol,” featuring Dhoni tackling a problem many Indians quietly relate to: hesitating to speak English despite years of studying it.
The campaign zeroes in on the fear of making mistakes, using humour to nudge viewers past that hesitation toward speaking with more confidence. It was conceptualised with Mumbai-based creative agency ZeroFifty Mediaworks, SpeakX’s strategic creative partner, and will extend beyond digital into broadcast placements.
Arpit Mittal, CEO and Founder of SpeakX, said the platform was built on the belief that spoken English shouldn’t hold people back from fully participating in their own lives. He noted that most Indians have studied English for years but rarely get space to practise speaking without judgment, and called Dhoni’s investment and ambassadorial role a strong endorsement of both the problem SpeakX solves and its growth potential.
Dhoni said confidence comes not from knowing more, but from repeated practice and putting oneself out there. He added that the campaign captures this insight in a simple, relatable way, and that SpeakX gives learners a low-pressure space to build real-world speaking confidence.
Beyond the campaign, Dhoni will also feature inside the SpeakX app itself, where his role includes recognising learner progress and encouraging users as they hit key milestones in their learning journey.
