Traya Turns Women’s Hair Fall into a Seven-Foot Installation at Bandra Bandstand

Traya Health has held an on-ground activation at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand to draw attention to hair shedding and thinning among women. The centrepiece was a seven-foot transparent cube filled with hair strands, built to show the cumulative effect of excessive shedding. According to the campaign, losing more than 300 strands a day can add up to over 109,500 strands in a year.

The activation focused on early signs of hair thinning, such as more hair in the shower drain, a lighter ponytail and a widening parting. It also pointed to hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, stress and postpartum changes as possible contributors to female hair loss.

Visitors could take a complimentary scalp scan, a hair test covering lifestyle, nutrition, hormonal indicators and genetic history, and one-on-one consultations with Traya hair coaches. The brand said its approach combines dermatology, Ayurveda and nutrition to build treatment plans around individual causes of hair fall.

Saloni Anand, co-founder of Traya Health, said women often notice subtle changes in volume or shedding but rarely know when to pay closer attention or where to seek help. She added that the aim was to make a quiet, everyday struggle visible and help women take a confident first step towards better hair health.
