The Indian Super League (ISL) has announced YouTube as its digital streaming partner for the 2026-27 season, with every match available live and free on the platform. The league has also tied up with Sony Sports Network as its exclusive television broadcaster in India, while Sony LIV will stream all 163 matches of the season. The multi-platform mix is designed to take the ISL closer to football fans across India and the subcontinent.
Karan Yadav, CEO, Indian Super League, said the aim is to make the ISL the most accessible league in the country by being present on platforms where fans already watch football. He pointed out that India’s connected TV audience has grown 23% year-on-year to 166 million monthly viewers, while YouTube CTV device-hours have risen 77% over two years, adding that combining digital and broadcast will open the league to a wider audience than ever.
The YouTube tie-up will also let the ISL build a wider digital ecosystem, with highlights, Shorts, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, analysis and fan-led conversations extending the experience beyond the live game. Gunjan Soni, managing director, India, YouTube, said the platform is where Indians already discover and follow the content they love.
Rajesh Kaul, chief revenue officer and business head, sports and international, Sony Pictures Networks India, said all 163 matches will stream on Sony LIV, with over 80 on its TV channels. With 13 teams, the season will feature 78 Phase 1 matches from October 10, 2026 to January 17, 2027, with 53 scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
