Wavemaker and Mondelez Win Big at EMVIES’ 25th Anniversary

The Advertising Club celebrated the 25th anniversary of the EMVIE Awards on March 28, 2025, at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre. This milestone edition, presented in association with The Times of India and UltraTech Cement Limited, honored the best in media innovation and strategy.

Wavemaker India claimed the top honor as “Best Media Agency of the Year” with 665 points, while Mondelez India Foods Pvt. Ltd. was named “Best Media Client of the Year” with 380 points. Mindshare India and EssenceMediacom secured second and third positions respectively among agencies.

Initiative Media earned the coveted Grand EMVIE for their Amazon Prime Video campaign “Gen AI, interactive storytelling, and gangland drama equals success for Mirzapur” in the Best Use of AI category. Interactive Avenues received special recognition for their Chhanv Foundation work with the Diversity Equality & Inclusion (DE&I) award.

The ceremony witnessed unprecedented participation with 33 agencies submitting 1,779 entries, of which 443 were shortlisted. Over 1,000 industry professionals attended as 46 Gold, 71 Silver, and 73 Bronze trophies were awarded.

Rana Barua, President of The Advertising Club, called the milestone “a tribute to the passion and dedication of media professionals,” while EMVIES Committee Chairperson Punitha Arumugam praised winners for exemplifying “what media can achieve when insights, strategy, and technology come together.”
