Le15 Patisserie, Smash Guys, Aubree, and more headline the debut of Swiggy’s newest food experience.
Swiggy has launched a new feature called ‘Drops’, designed to offer food lovers a curated lineup of limited-edition dishes, created in collaboration with some of India’s most-loved chefs and gourmet brands. Available only in small batches for a short window, these exclusive items are accessible solely through the Swiggy app.
The experience kicks off with an impressive roster of culinary names, including Le15 Patisserie by Pooja Dhingra, Smash Guys by AB Gupta, Aubree, Ciclo Café, Louis Burger, Good Flippin’ Burgers, TwentySeven Bakehouse, and Espressos AnyDay, among others.
How ‘Drops’ Works:
- Each Drop features unique, chef-curated dishes not available on regular menus.
- Quantities are limited and released at a specific date and time.
- Restaurants promote upcoming Drops via social media, encouraging users to secure their orders on Swiggy.
- Once slots fill up, a waitlist opens.
- Swiggy notifies users via push alerts and WhatsApp 10 minutes before the Drop goes live.
- Orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For restaurants, Drops serves as a platform to experiment with new creations, build hype, and create a sense of exclusivity around their offerings.
“Drops transforms food delivery into something culturally exciting and urgent,” said Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace. “It lets users discover new dishes from their favorite chefs, while giving our partners a fresh way to test ideas and build deeper customer connections.”
Early Buzz and Impact
Kishore Kumar, founder of Aubree, called the experience “a total game-changer,” revealing that the bakery saw a 58% spike in orders compared to the previous week. “The exclusivity drove huge interest. With boosted in-app visibility, we also saw a 50–60% increase in engagement,” he noted. “Every Drop feels like a celebration.”
AB Gupta, co-founder of Smash Guys, echoed the sentiment. “We hit 100 orders in the first 10 minutes alone. It wasn’t just food – it became a shared experience. It’s helped us stand out and build loyalty in a competitive space.”
Looking ahead, both chefs and Swiggy plan to turn up the heat with even bigger Drops, surprise collaborations, and limited-run menus that offer something new, exciting, and moment-worthy for Indian foodies.
