The Abby Awards, India’s premier recognition for creative and media advertising, has received over 4,000 entries ahead of its return to Goafest, scheduled from 21 to 23 May 2025. Now in its 56th year, the awards continue to celebrate excellence and innovation in the industry.
Ajay Kakar, Chairperson of the Awards Governing Council, noted the Abby’s enduring relevance: “What keeps us iconic is staying ahead of the curve – spotting trends before they go mainstream.”
This year marks the fourth edition of the awards’ collaboration with The One Show. Of the 4,076 entries, creative agencies submitted 2,678 and media agencies 1,398, resulting in 1,756 shortlists – 1,265 from creative and 491 from media.
A total of 231 agencies participated, including major players like McCann Worldgroup, DDB Mudra, VML, Lowe Lintas, BBH, Grey Group, and Talented.
The judging panel featured 401 jurors, with a 65:35 male-to-female ratio. International judges include:
- Youri Guerassimov, CEO & CCO, Marcel Paris (also delivering a Goafest keynote)
- Bjorn Stahl, CCO, Uncommon
- Francesco Poletti, CCO, Le Pub (Publicis Italy)
This year also introduces three new Media categories:
- Small Budget, Big Impact
- Sports Marketing
- Micro Marketing
