ABD Maestro, the premium spirits arm of Allied Blenders & Distillers, has announced the launch of YELLO Designer Whisky, a new entrant crafted for India’s growing super-premium whisky market. The brand blends Scotch malts sourced from Scotland’s Speyside and Highland regions – matured in ex-bourbon oak – with acclaimed Indian malts to deliver a contemporary yet refined drinking experience.
YELLO marks ABD Maestro’s second collaboration with actor and entrepreneur Ranveer Singh, who earlier partnered on Rangeela Vodka and continues in his role as co-founder and creative partner. The whisky arrives with a bold visual identity, designed to resonate with younger, design-conscious consumers. The packaging includes a distinctive viewing panel on the bottle, offering a clear glimpse of the liquid and reinforcing its designer positioning.
Bikram Basu, Managing Director at ABD Maestro, said: “YELLO is built for an innovative, bold, and youthful mindset – in product, packaging, and storytelling. It is born to stand out, and stands on a foundation of quality, creativity and consumer-first thinking.”
The launch comes at a time when India’s new-age whisky drinkers are increasingly seeking premium blends with strong design language and cultural relevance. YELLO debuts in Maharashtra at ₹2,700 for a 750ml bottle, with phased rollouts planned for Goa, West Bengal, and key northern markets in the coming months.
With Singh’s cultural influence and ABD Maestro’s premium portfolio ambitions, YELLO aims to carve a space where craftsmanship meets creative expression.
