Air India unveils ‘Change is in the Air’ campaign to spotlight its transformed flying experience

Air India has launched its new India-focused brand campaign, “Change is in the Air”, introducing the creative expression “That’s Air India Now.” The campaign reflects how passengers are experiencing the airline’s ongoing transformation across its domestic network, highlighting refurbished cabins, upgraded dining, enhanced digital journeys and the signature warmth of Indian hospitality.

The campaign comprises five films, each capturing real passenger reactions as they rediscover the national carrier. The films showcase Air India’s refreshed inflight experience-revamped Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class cabins; elevated gourmet dining; and improved digital touchpoints, including the new Vista Stream inflight entertainment and upgraded connectivity. Designed as slice-of-life narratives, the films bring authenticity, relatability and emotion to the forefront.

In addition to television, the campaign is being promoted across digital platforms, print, social media and T20 cricket broadcasts, ensuring extensive national visibility.

The rollout comes ahead of a pivotal year for Air India. By end-2026, more than 90% of the airline’s domestic fleet– up from the current 80%-will offer the new experience, supported by a large-scale retrofit of legacy narrowbody aircraft.

Significant on-ground upgrades are also planned for 2026. A new world-class lounge will open at Delhi Terminal 3, followed by a second domestic lounge later in the year. Refurbished lounges in San Francisco and New York (JFK) will reopen early next year.

Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty programme will soon transition into a unified, group-wide rewards programme, designed for seamless benefits across the network. Expanded service training continues to support the airline’s elevated product and growing global footprint.

“Change is in the Air” reflects a renewed Air India-modern, warm, and evolving-welcoming passengers to a transformed flying experience.
