Vineet Jain, Managing Director of Bennett, Coleman & Co. (The Times Group), has been conferred the ‘Lifetime Contribution to Media’ award at the All India Management Association’s 70th Foundation Day and 20th National Management Day in New Delhi. The honour was presented by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as part of AIMA’s 16th Managing India Awards 2026, themed ‘Transforming for Tomorrow: Growth with Resilience’.
The recognition highlights Jain’s role in transforming The Times Group from a legacy newspaper publisher into India’s largest diversified multimedia enterprise. Accepting the award, Jain dedicated the honour to his colleagues, acknowledging their contribution to building the organisation’s scale and influence.
In its citation, AIMA described Jain as a future-focused leader who revitalised the group’s print foundations while strategically expanding into television, radio, digital, music, events and education. Under his leadership, flagship brands such as The Times of India strengthened their dominance, while ventures like Times Internet, Magicbricks, Times Now, ET Now and Zoom expanded the group’s footprint across emerging platforms.
The group also scaled its presence in radio and music, and built significant businesses in outdoor advertising, entertainment and investments. Its foray into education through Bennett University and TimesPro further reflected a broader vision integrating media, knowledge and enterprise.
AIMA noted that Jain’s leadership has shaped not just a media company, but a multifaceted communications powerhouse influencing information, entertainment and public discourse across India.
