Actor Amol Parashar has invested in cloud kitchen brand House of Biryan, signalling a growing shift in how celebrities are choosing to associate with consumer-facing startups. With this move, Parashar joins former Indian cricket captain M S Dhoni as a backer of the brand, strengthening its investor profile with public figures known for credibility and long-term involvement.
Parashar, widely recognized for his work in Tripling, Sardar Udham, and the recently released Gram Chikitsalay, has built a reputation for unconventional choices and thoughtful career decisions. An IIT Delhi graduate, he brings a blend of creative instinct and analytical thinking-an approach that now extends into his investment journey.
The association was unveiled through a quirky social media video that plays to Parashar’s signature wit while seamlessly integrating the brand’s tone. Crucially, the collaboration goes beyond a typical endorsement. Parashar has taken on a deeper creative and strategic role, positioning himself as a long-term stakeholder rather than a campaign face.
Speaking about the partnership, Parashar shared that he was already a genuine fan of the brand before discussions began, which made the decision to invest feel organic rather than transactional. He noted that today’s audiences can instantly spot inauthentic advertising, making true alignment between a brand and its partners more important than ever.
Echoing this, HOB founder Mohit Goyal described Parashar as a hands-on collaborator who approached the brand with a builder’s mindset. As part of the partnership, House of Biryan has also launched a limited ‘AP Menu’, curated by Parashar and available on Swiggy and Zomato, offering fans a more personal and immersive brand experience.
With Parashar and Dhoni on board, House of Biryan is positioning itself strongly as it scales in India’s fast-growing cloud kitchen market.
