Shailesh Chaturvedi, who has steered Arvind Fashions as Managing Director & CEO and served on the company’s Board Committees, has stepped down from his role citing personal reasons.
Chaturvedi’s association with Arvind Fashions spans nearly two decades, during which he successfully led several of the company’s marquee brands. He joined the firm in 2006 to head the Tommy Hilfiger joint venture, transforming it into one of India’s most admired and aspirational fashion labels. In FY18, he took over the Calvin Klein portfolio, driving a notable turnaround, and in FY19, he assumed responsibility for the Arrow brand, working on strategies to reinvigorate the franchise.
With a 28-year career in the apparel sector, Chaturvedi has held leadership positions at Madura Coats, United Colors of Benetton (UCB), and Arvind Fashions, earning recognition as a veteran in India’s fashion industry.
In July, Arvind Fashions announced the appointment of Amisha Jain as the new MD & CEO, effective August 13, 2025. Jain previously served as Managing Director and SVP for Levi Strauss & Co across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Non-EU markets. She will succeed Chaturvedi, who will assist her during the transition period to ensure continuity and strategic alignment.
Chaturvedi had been appointed MD & CEO of Arvind Fashions in 2021, succeeding J Suresh, who retired from the role. His tenure is marked by consistent brand growth, strategic turnarounds, and strengthening Arvind Fashions’ position in India’s premium and lifestyle apparel segment.
