The campaign celebrates the growing prominence of women’s cricket and the shared pride it inspires in Indian homes.
Asian Paints, one of India’s most loved paint and décor brands, has unveiled a powerful new chapter in its cricket storytelling legacy with the launch of ‘Meri Wali Blue’ under its #HarGharBlue campaign. The initiative celebrates India’s women cricketers and the families who cheer them on, deepening the brand’s longstanding bond with cricket as a unifying cultural force.
The campaign film beautifully traces the journey of a blue jersey-from a tailor’s meticulous stitching to a balcony where it dries in the sun, and finally to a shop window-where a young girl proudly points out, “Meri wali blue,” referring to Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s jersey. The film captures the emotional essence of cricket in India, showing how every home and every fan adds meaning to the nation’s love for the game.
Asian Paints has consistently connected its brand with cricketing moments that unite the country. From immersive on-ground activations at marquee events such as India vs England at Old Trafford to the Asia Cup, the brand has continually leveraged cricket as a canvas for storytelling. The #HarGharBlue TV Contest extended that engagement by encouraging fans nationwide to share selfies supporting Team India, turning homes across the country into hubs of cricket celebration.
Amit Syngle, Managing Director & CEO, Asian Paints Ltd., shared,
“Cricket in India is more than a sport-it’s a shared emotion that binds families, friends, and neighbours. Through our campaigns, we’ve always aimed to capture this spirit. With Meri Wali Blue, we’re proud to celebrate India’s women cricketers, whose passion and perseverance inspire millions. This film is our tribute not just to them, but to every household that supports them. As women’s cricket continues to rise, it represents a collective moment of pride for the entire nation.”
Rohan Mehta, CEO, FCB Kinnect, added,
“What makes Meri Wali Blue so impactful is its simplicity. It builds on an iconic cultural idea and gives it new meaning for today’s generation. That single phrase-Meri Wali Blue, embodies hope, determination, and the dreams of countless women athletes.”
Yogesh Mani Pradhan, Group Executive Creative Director, FCB Kinnect, said,
“Cricket in India is as much about the emotion in living rooms as it is about the energy on the field. Meri Wali Blue transforms nostalgia into a celebration of the present-honouring the women shaping India’s cricket story. It’s a small phrase with the power to move culture forward.”
Conceptualised by FCB Kinnect and produced by Good Morning Films, Meri Wali Blue pays homage to India’s enduring cricket fandom while celebrating the evolving recognition of women’s cricket – blending heartfelt storytelling with cultural pride.
