The new ad campaign reunites Lively and Zuzanna Szadkowski to “spill the tea” in style.
Spotted: Serena van der Woodsen-aka Blake Lively-and her iconic sidekick Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski) back on screen. This time, the Upper East Side duo is swapping secrets over cocktails on a park bench, not in a Manhattan penthouse.
The reunion is part of a new ad campaign for Lively’s canned cocktail brand Betty Booze, celebrating the launch of two new Vodka Iced Tea flavors: Meyer Lemonade and Passion Fruit.
In the ad, the duo dons sunglasses and channels their signature chemistry as a Gossip Girl-style paparazzi snap kicks off the scene. “You sound different,” Lively teases Szadkowski, who quips back, “Oh, allergies,” alluding to her missing Dorota accent.
Then comes the real “tea.”
“Good tea?” asks Lively.
“Oh, the best tea,” Szadkowski replies, unveiling a can of Betty Booze’s new Vodka Iced Tea.
From pouring into teacups to exchanging playful jabs, the ad is steeped in Gossip Girl references, ending with Dorota’s classic flair: “Oh Miss Betty, you’re gonna get us in trouble.”
Lively’s beverage journey began in 2021 with Betty Buzz, a non-alcoholic sparkling mixer line. She expanded into the alcohol category in 2023 with Betty Booze, offering tequila and bourbon cocktails. The new vodka line marks her continued push into the premium ready-to-drink (RTD) space.
For those unfamiliar, Gossip Girl (2007–2012) wasn’t just a teen drama-it was a cultural moment that shaped fashion, friendships, and millennial nostalgia. With its enduring appeal among Gen Z and a steady meme presence, the show remains a pop culture staple.
The Betty Booze campaign taps into that legacy, blending a modern product launch with a heaping spoonful of nostalgia. It’s a toast to timeless gossip, iconic duos, and good tea-because some things never go out of style.
