Broadcom has announced an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA to bring cutting-edge AI capabilities to VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). This strategic partnership is set to empower enterprises and cloud providers to build, deploy, and scale advanced AI models within their private cloud environments, leveraging the familiar operational strength of VCF and NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platform.
As generative, agentic, and physical AI applications reshape data center infrastructure, the demand for high-performance, scalable, and efficient solutions is accelerating. Building on their long-standing relationship, Broadcom and NVIDIA are deepening integration across NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition GPUs, and NVIDIA’s high-speed networking technologies, expanding the scope of the jointly developed VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA.
“Our customers want the freedom to innovate with AI while relying on trusted platforms,” said Paul Turner, VP of Products, VMware Cloud Foundation Division, Broadcom. “This partnership makes that possible-blending innovation with the reliability VCF is known for.”
Justin Boitano, VP of Enterprise AI, NVIDIA, added: “With NVIDIA networking and Blackwell GPUs, enterprises can now run powerful AI workloads directly within their existing private clouds, fully leveraging the NVIDIA platform within VMware Cloud Foundation.”
Key Highlights of the Integration:
- Support for NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture GPUs, including future-ready B200 GPUs for AI and HPC at scale.
- RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition GPUs for efficient co-hosting of AI and VDI workloads.
- Enhanced DirectPath I/O with NVIDIA ConnectX-7 NICs and BlueField-3 DPUs, enabling GPUDirect Storage and RDMA for high-speed data processing.
- Full retention of VCF’s enterprise-grade features-vMotion, HA, DRS, and live patching-ensuring seamless operations across AI and traditional workloads.
This collaboration marks a pivotal step toward AI-native private clouds, offering enterprises the tools and agility to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
