Catch Salt & Spices, a flagship brand of the Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group, has announced its association with MasterChef India Season 9 as the exclusive Salt & Spices Partner. The partnership marks a full-season, integrated presence across television and digital platforms, with Catch joining the show as a Co-Powered Sponsor on Sony TV and a Co-Special Partner on Sony LIV. The collaboration will run throughout the season, from January to March 2026.
This season of MasterChef India introduces a fresh narrative format centred around ‘Jodis’, celebrating food through partnerships, shared journeys, and collective aspirations. Featuring participants from across the country, the show places regional flavours, traditional cooking techniques, and cultural diversity at its core. Beyond competition, the format highlights the emotional bonds and personal stories that unfold through cooking, reinforcing the belief that food in India goes far beyond nourishment. Rooted in the thought ‘Khana sirf khana nahi hota,’ the season positions food as a medium for expression, identity, and connection.
Commenting on the association, Arnab Ghatak Choudhury, General Manager – Marketing, Catch Salt & Spices, shared that food in Indian culture carries deep emotional and cultural significance. He noted that MasterChef India provides an ideal platform where food, stories, and emotions intersect, aligning seamlessly with Catch’s belief that great food begins with quality ingredients and meaningful experiences.
As part of the collaboration, Catch’s range of salts and spices will be organically integrated into the show, with contestants using the products across challenges. Emotional highlights will also be featured as the ‘Moment of the Week’, reinforcing the message: ‘Kyunki khana sirf khana nahi hota, apno ke saath ek nai pehchaan banana bhi hota hai.’ Through this content-led approach, Catch aims to deepen its connection with Indian households and passionate home cooks by becoming a natural part of their everyday culinary journeys.
