Chennaiyin FC Onboards Indian Super Gaming League as Principal Sponsor for ISL 2026

Two-time Indian Super League champions Chennaiyin FC have announced a major new partnership, naming the Indian Super Gaming League as their principal sponsor for the ISL 2026 season. The association marks a notable crossover between Indian football and esports-two youth-driven ecosystems increasingly shaping contemporary sports culture.

As part of the agreement, ISGL will feature prominently on the front of Chennaiyin FC’s matchday jerseys and training wear throughout the 2026 campaign. The partnership also extends across the club’s digital platforms and in-stadium branding at the Marina Arena during home fixtures, ensuring strong visibility both on-ground and online. In addition, ISGL will gain access to the club’s logo, player image rights, engagement opportunities with players, and key media-facing assets.

Speaking on the collaboration, Chennaiyin FC COO Akhil Prakash highlighted the strategic alignment between the two brands, noting that gaming now sits at the heart of youth culture. The partnership, he said, aims to unlock deeper engagement opportunities by connecting football fandom with competitive gaming in meaningful and immersive ways.

Echoing this sentiment, Gautam Badalia, co-founder of LetsGameNow, ISGL’s parent organization, emphasized the shared focus on nurturing young talent and building structured pathways for excellence-whether on the football pitch or in competitive gaming.

The partnership will debut when Chennaiyin FC open their ISL 2026 campaign against Mumbai City FC, before returning home to face Mohammedan SC on March 13, signalling the start of a season that blends sport, gaming, and youth culture.
