The collaboration lets users design personalised avatars via Google Gemini, blending AI innovation with Diwali’s spirit of creativity and connection.
Coca-Cola India is lighting up this Diwali with a unique blend of tradition and technology, partnering with Google to launch ‘Festicons’ – AI-generated, customisable festive avatars that allow users to create and share personalised Diwali greetings.
The initiative, powered by Google Gemini, invites consumers to scan a QR code from Coca-Cola’s limited-edition Utsav Packs and design their own digital “Festicon.” By choosing a festive persona and Diwali icon, users can generate a unique AI-powered avatar – a creative, shareable sticker symbolising joy and togetherness. Each creation can be posted using the hashtag #MyFesticon, encouraging a digital celebration across social platforms.
Karthik Subramanian, senior director, marketing – Coca-Cola Category, said, “Coca-Cola has always been part of India’s celebrations. This Diwali, our collaboration with Google offers people a fresh, creative way to express themselves. ‘Festicons’ brings AI, art, and emotion together – turning every festive wish into a personal story.”
Building on last year’s ‘Diwali Wali Magic’ campaign that used DALL-E for personalised cards, Festicons takes the concept further with real-time, interactive co-creation.
By merging AI innovation with cultural warmth, Coca-Cola and Google are redefining festive expression – one personalised avatar at a time.
