Coca-Cola India Delivers Strong FY25 Performance with 46% Jump in Net Profit

Coca-Cola India reported a robust financial performance for the year ended March 2025, posting a 46% year-on-year increase in net profit, driven by steady revenue growth and tighter control over expenses. The company recorded a net profit of ₹615 crore in FY25, compared with ₹420.3 crore in the previous fiscal year, highlighting a significant improvement in overall profitability.

Consolidated revenue for the beverage major rose 6.98% to ₹5,042.6 crore in FY25, up from ₹4,713.4 crore in FY24. While topline growth remained moderate, a slower rise in expenses played a key role in boosting margins. Total expenses increased by just 2.8% to ₹4,328.4 crore, compared with ₹4,210.1 crore a year earlier.

Operating performance strengthened considerably during the year. Operating profit climbed 38.4% to ₹817.9 crore from ₹591 crore in FY24, while operating margins expanded to 16.2%, up from 12.5% in the previous year. This margin expansion reflects improved cost efficiency across several areas of the business.

Cost of goods sold increased 22.1% to ₹1,126.1 crore, and employee costs rose 11% to ₹576.6 crore. However, other operating costs declined 5.9% to ₹2,521.9 crore, providing relief on the expense front. Notably, advertising and promotional spends fell 13.8% year-on-year to ₹1,311.1 crore, indicating a more measured marketing approach.

Profit before tax rose 42.5% to ₹843.1 crore, while tax expenses increased to ₹228.1 crore. Overall, the FY25 results underline Coca-Cola India’s improved operating discipline and ability to convert modest revenue growth into strong profit expansion.
