The first to open, the last to close, and central to every celebration-India’s local retailers are the lifeblood of communities. Recognising their unwavering contribution, Coca-Cola India has launched ‘Locally Yours’, a campaign that salutes these everyday heroes who keep the nation connected, refreshed, and thriving.
From neighbourhood kirana stores to legacy sweet shops, India’s vast retail network-among the largest in the world-is driven by millions of small businesses that provide not just access and convenience, but a deep sense of belonging. With Locally Yours, Coca-Cola India turns the spotlight on these pillars of society-entrepreneurs who foster connection, commerce, and culture.
For many of them, Coca-Cola has been more than a product on the shelf; it’s been a partner in progress.
Ajay Saha, a long-time distributor associated with the brand since 2002, shared:
“It’s been a fulfilling journey of over two decades. Coca-Cola India has stood by us through changing times-offering support, direction, and tools to grow our business and better serve our neighbourhood.”
Rajesh Kumar Rana, owner of a 25-year-old sweets shop in Odisha, added:
“Coca-Cola is part of our family business. From laddoos to lime soda, our customers come expecting both traditions and favourites like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Thums Up, and Kinley. We make sure it’s all available, because that’s what community service is about.”
Sundeep Bajoria, Vice President, Coca-Cola India, explained the campaign’s purpose:
“Retail in India is not only the largest employment sector, but also a cornerstone of local economies. Through Locally Yours, we’re celebrating the entrepreneurial resilience and social role of retailers across the country. Our programs—like the Superpower Retailer initiative and Coke Buddy-aim to strengthen capabilities, equip retailers with digital tools, and nurture entrepreneurship at scale.”
The campaign will roll out through a series of short films and portraits, highlighting real stories of grit, generosity, and growth. Each narrative reinforces the idea that behind every beverage served is a connection, a legacy, and a community built one customer at a time.
With a footprint of over six million retailers and distributors, Coca-Cola India continues to power one of the world’s most dynamic retail ecosystems-where every shop isn’t just a point of sale, but a cornerstone of society.
