Jaskirat Singh Bawa has joined Edelman as Senior Advisor, Risk and Issues Management, adding deep expertise in journalism, newsroom leadership, and combating misinformation to the firm’s advisory capabilities. With a career spanning reporting, editorial leadership, and complex narrative management, he brings a sharp understanding of how information ecosystems operate and how reputational risks escalate in real time.
In his new role, Bawa will support organisations in navigating an increasingly volatile digital environment shaped by geopolitics, social polarisation, and emerging AI-led threats such as deepfakes, synthetic media, and coordinated bot-driven campaigns. His mandate includes providing strategic counsel on risk preparedness, leading crisis response frameworks, and leveraging advanced AI-powered intelligence tools to anticipate and mitigate issues before they escalate.
He will work closely with Edelman’s Public & Government Affairs team in India and across global markets, helping clients strengthen resilience, protect trust, and respond effectively to fast-evolving information threats in high-stakes situations.
