Elon Musk’s Grok to launch ‘Imagine’ text-to-video feature in October
Grok has announced the upcoming launch of its highly anticipated Imagine feature, which will allow users to create videos with sound directly from text prompts. The feature is powered by Grok’s proprietary Aurora engine, designed for instant video generation.
While an exact release date has not been confirmed, early access is expected to roll out in October via Grok’s standalone app, which is currently available for download. Users interested in testing the feature early must subscribe to the SuperGrok tier and join the waitlist.
Once available, the Imagine feature will enable fast, audio-enabled text-to-video generation, offering powerful creative tools for professionals in entertainment, education, marketing, and social media.

In addition to generating videos from simple prompts, Grok is expected to roll out customisation options for video styles and formats as part of future updates. However, specifics such as video resolution, length limits, and audio library details have yet to be disclosed.
A waitlist for the feature is now open through the Grok app.
Currently, the Grok platform includes image generation, conversational AI, and voice chat. The addition of the Imagine feature will further expand Grok’s suite of AI-powered creative tools.
