Google has announced the rollout of Gemini 3.1 Pro, the latest upgrade to its core AI model, expanding availability across consumer, developer and enterprise ecosystems. The release builds on the Gemini 3 series and follows the recent introduction of Gemini 3 Deep Think, signaling the company’s continued push toward more advanced reasoning capabilities.
According to Google, Gemini 3.1 Pro demonstrates significant improvements in logic and problem-solving performance. The model achieved a score of 77.1% on ARC-AGI-2, a benchmark designed to evaluate an AI system’s ability to solve unfamiliar and abstract reasoning tasks. The company stated that this represents more than double the reasoning performance of Gemini 3 Pro.
The model is currently available in preview for developers through the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Google Antigravity and Android Studio. Enterprise customers can access it via Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, while consumers will see the update integrated into the Gemini app and NotebookLM.
Designed for tasks requiring deeper reasoning, Gemini 3.1 Pro supports synthesising large volumes of information, generating structured outputs and addressing complex queries. Google noted that user feedback since the November release of Gemini 3 Pro has informed these enhancements. While the current rollout remains in preview, broader general availability is expected in the coming months.
