Honda Cars India Opens Digital Agency Pitch for ₹50 Crore Mandate

Honda Cars India has officially launched a review for its digital media agency, inviting pitches for a mandate estimated at around ₹50 crore. The engagement will encompass strategic digital media planning and buying across multiple channels, aiming to support both brand-building and retail activation initiatives for the company’s key models, including Amaze, City, and Elevate.

The move reflects Honda Cars India’s growing emphasis on strengthening its digital presence and optimizing media strategies in a competitive automotive market. By leveraging data-driven insights and innovative digital campaigns, the company aims to enhance brand visibility, engage with prospective buyers, and drive conversions across both urban and semi-urban markets.

In terms of recent performance, Honda Cars India reported total sales of 126,151 units in FY 2024-25, balancing domestic volume with exports. For December 2025 alone, the company delivered 8,159 units across domestic and international markets, highlighting steady demand for its core models.

Historically, Honda’s digital media mandate was awarded to Dentsu X’s dX Cubic following a competitive pitch in 2019, after shifting the business from GroupM’s Motivator. The current review signals an opportunity for agencies to present fresh strategies and demonstrate capabilities in driving integrated digital campaigns that align with Honda Cars India’s evolving objectives.

Industry observers note that the automotive sector increasingly relies on digital-first approaches to reach consumers, making this mandate a strategic asset for the winning agency. At the time of reporting, Honda Cars India had not issued a formal comment on the ongoing review. The outcome of the pitch is expected to shape the company’s digital media trajectory in the coming years.
