Hyundai Motor Returns to Global Cricket Stage as ICC Premier Partner for 2026-27

Hyundai Motor Company has announced a global partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC), becoming a Premier Partner for six major men’s and women’s ICC tournaments scheduled across 2026 and 2027. The collaboration was officially revealed at an event held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, attended by senior representatives from Hyundai Motor and the ICC.

As part of the agreement, Hyundai Motor will gain extensive marketing and activation rights across ICC events, including the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. The partnership will feature prominent matchday integrations such as the coin toss, in-stadium branding, and fan engagement initiatives spanning both on-ground and digital platforms. These touchpoints are designed to enhance fan experiences while strengthening Hyundai’s brand visibility during marquee cricketing moments.

This association marks Hyundai Motor’s return to ICC partnerships after its earlier involvement from 2011 to 2015. The renewed collaboration aligns with the company’s broader global sports strategy, with cricket identified as a culturally significant platform in key markets such as India.

Commenting on the partnership, José Muñoz, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, highlighted the shared values of resilience and continuous improvement between cricket and the brand. He noted that the collaboration offers an opportunity to connect with over two billion cricket fans worldwide and deepen relationships in cricket-loving markets like India.

Jay Shah, ICC chairman, welcomed Hyundai as a Premier Partner, emphasising cricket’s massive global fan base and the potential for innovative digital and in-stadium engagements during ICC’s flagship tournaments. Echoing this sentiment, Tarun Garg, managing director and CEO designate of Hyundai Motor India, said the partnership reflects Hyundai’s strong commitment to India and will be supported by a comprehensive 360-degree communication strategy across PR, digital, experiential and dealership platforms.

Through this partnership, Hyundai aims to create memorable fan experiences while reinforcing its presence on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.
