The TVC supports the recent launch of Boomer Lollipops in Strawberry, Orange, and Watermelon flavours.
Mars Wrigley India has unveiled a new campaign for its iconic chewing gum brand, Boomer, featuring star cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. The latest TVC highlights bubble-blowing as a form of self-expression, especially for today’s confident and playful generation.
Set against the backdrop of a high-energy cricket match, the commercial captures a defining moment. As Bumrah fields near the boundary, a section of the crowd begins to boo and jeer. Staying calm, he pops a Boomer gum into his mouth, blows a bubble-and the mood instantly shifts. The crowd erupts in cheers: “BOOOOOOO-MRAHH… BUMRAH!” The ad positions Boomer as the ultimate symbol of cool, showing how it can flip any tough situation into a triumphant one.
Nikhil Rao, Chief Marketing Officer at Mars Wrigley India, commented:
“Boomer has always been at the forefront of India’s gum culture. From making bubble-blowing cool decades ago to redefining it for Gen-Z today, this campaign is about reclaiming that legacy. We want to remind today’s youth that confidence doesn’t always have to be loud-sometimes, it’s just the quiet swag of chewing gum.”
Adding to this, Rahul Mathew, Chief Creative Officer, DDB Mudra Group, said:
“Boomer is an iconic brand with an iconic chant. This campaign gave us a chance to refresh both the brand and the chant with a new attitude. And who better to lead that than Bumrah-or should I say, Boom-rah.”
The TVC complements the recent launch of Boomer Lollipops, now available in fruity flavours such as Strawberry, Orange, and Watermelon, further expanding the brand’s appeal among young consumers.
