To celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day, JioHotstar has launched ‘Operation Tiranga’, a nationwide initiative offering free access to its entire content library on August 15. The campaign, titled Tiranga Ek, Kahaniyaan Anek, pays tribute to the Indian Tricolour through a specially curated collection of patriotic films and series.
Viewers will be welcomed by a redesigned interface inspired by the national flag, leading into three themed storylines:
- Saffron – Showcasing bravery and heroism (Take Off, Madras Cafe, IB71)
- White – Exploring sacrifice and resilience (Neerja, Mangal Pandey, Chandrashekar)
- Green – Celebrating cultural heritage and pride (Sarzameen, Kesari 2, Airlift)
Minakshi Achan, Head – Brand & Creative, JioHotstar, said, “Operation Tiranga removes all access barriers, allowing every Indian to engage with stories that embody the nation’s courage, resilience, and identity.”
The campaign will roll out through in-app takeovers, TV spots, outdoor ads, digital platforms, and social media. In collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, it also promotes awareness around the proper use of the national flag.
Operation Tiranga highlights JioHotstar’s commitment to inclusive storytelling, delivering content that reflects India’s diverse spirit-free for all this Independence Day.
