Katappa and Sivagami Battle Grease in Giffy’s New ‘Dishwash ka Baahubali’ Campaign

Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting has rolled out a new television commercial for its dishwashing gel brand, Giffy, featuring iconic South Indian actors Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan. The campaign, titled ‘Dishwash ka Baahubali’, reimagines the everyday kitchen chore as a dramatic and humorous showdown against tough grease.

Set within a domestic kitchen, the film brings together the legendary duo-popularly known for their roles as Katappa and Sivagami-now armed with Giffy as their weapon of choice. The ad cleverly combines cinematic storytelling with household realism, portraying Giffy as the ultimate solution for Indian-style heavy-duty cleaning.

Commenting on the campaign, S Prasanna Rai, senior vice president – marketing, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, said: “Giffy is designed for the intense cooking styles of Indian households, where grease and masala are daily challenges. With this campaign, we’ve tapped into a familiar cultural reference to make our message entertaining and memorable. Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan bring strong relatability and impact to our narrative.”

Giffy is available in three vibrant variants: Lemon, Green Lime, and Enzymes. Each promises sparkling clean utensils and a fresh kitchen fragrance. The product is sold at leading retail outlets and across major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Big Basket, and JioMart. Packaging options include a 750ml bottle priced at ₹205 and a 2-litre refill pack for ₹420.

With this campaign, Giffy positions itself as both a high-performance cleaner and a brand that brings everyday kitchen drama to life.
