MUMBAI: This Independence Day, Kenstar, one of India’s leading home appliance brands, is launching a nationwide initiative titled ‘No Phone Hour’. The campaign invites citizens to switch off their phones for one hour-from 6 PM to 7 PM on August 15-and spend uninterrupted time with loved ones.
Marking India’s 78th year of independence, the campaign encourages people to step away from digital distractions and reflect on true freedom-freedom from screens, notifications, and online noise.
Sunil Jain, CEO, Kenstar, shared, “This is more than a marketing effort-it’s a reminder. In today’s hyper-connected world, genuine human connection is rare. ‘No Phone Hour’ is our call to the nation to reclaim that bond, to rediscover the people and moments that matter most.”
The campaign urges Indians at home and abroad to take a digital pledge through Kenstar’s website and join a collective movement to honour Independence Day with mindfulness and togetherness.
Participants are encouraged to share their post-experience via stories, videos, or audio messages on social media using #NoPhoneHour-inspiring others to take part.
