KFC India has launched a new quirky campaign featuring actor Jaideep Ahlawat, shining the spotlight on its newly priced Rs 99 Chicken Krisper Meal. Known for his signature straight-faced expressions and dry humor, Ahlawat becomes the perfect face for this campaign, where even the most dramatic moments fail to break his composure – except one: the Chicken Krisper Meal.
The film opens with Ahlawat giving the internet a tongue-in-cheek masterclass titled, “How to be an unbothered baddie like me.” What follows is a series of exaggerated scenarios – a movie villain face-off, an interrogation room, and even a director requesting a fun dance move – all met with the same expressionless reaction.
The narrative shifts only when KFC’s Chicken Krisper Meal finally appears. The moment becomes the punchline: the meal succeeds where everything else fails – cracking his deadpan persona.
The offering includes a crispy peri-peri chicken patty, tangy sauce, lettuce in a sesame bun, fries, and a Pepsi – all bundled at an accessible price point. The brand is positioning this as an entry-level value meal designed to attract younger consumers looking for affordable indulgence.
Currently, the Rs 99 Chicken Krisper Meal is available for dine-in and takeaway across select regions including parts of Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai), Chandigarh Tricity, and locations in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Customers can also pre-order via the KFC app.
With relatable humor and a strong price message, the campaign aims to spark curiosity-and hunger.
