Komerz India to Drive Sponsorship Growth for World Pickleball League

The World Pickleball League (WPBL) has appointed Komerz India, the Indian arm of Komerz Global, as its exclusive sales and sponsorship partner. The mandate includes managing sponsorships, commercial rights, and monetization across the league’s flagship properties and community platforms.

This strategic partnership was facilitated by AMP Sports & Entertainment, WPBL’s exclusive strategic partner, which will continue to work closely with Komerz India to unlock large-scale commercial opportunities.

WPBL offers brands year-round engagement through properties like Season Two, scheduled at Jio World Garden, Mumbai in January 2026, and WPBL On Tour, a grassroots and youth-focused nationwide initiative.

Gaurav Natekar, Founder & CEO of WPBL, said the league aims to build long-term commercial value after the success of Season One. He added that Komerz India brings the right expertise to scale sponsorships, while AMP continues to shape WPBL’s brand narrative.

Amarendra Singh, CMO, Komerz, said this partnership deepens Komerz’s sports IP portfolio, providing brands with high-visibility opportunities, franchise activations, and measurable sponsorship models. Glassbox Ventures will support marketing efforts to strengthen WPBL’s brand engagement.

Indranil Das Blah of AMP Sports & Entertainment highlighted the strong commercial potential of the league, while Geetanjali Bhattacharji of Glassbox Ventures emphasized WPBL’s unique hyperlocal engagement model for brands.

With over 57 events planned under WPBL On Tour and marquee season events, this collaboration aims to accelerate pickleball’s evolution into a mainstream sport and lifestyle movement in India, offering scalable storytelling and brand building opportunities.
