LinkedIn has appointed Publicis Media, the global media division of Publicis Groupe, to handle its worldwide media planning and buying operations, according to a recent Adweek report.
This significant win for Publicis Media comes just one week after LinkedIn named R/GA as its global strategic creative agency for LinkedIn Ads, indicating a comprehensive refresh of the professional networking platform’s marketing partnerships.
The appointment represents an important addition to Publicis Media’s client roster during a competitive period in the agency landscape. According to COMvergence’s 2024 report, Publicis Media Group secured over $71 million in new business value last year, while industry leader Omnicom Media Group won approximately $183 million.
The COMvergence assessment, which evaluated 157 account moves and retentions in India, reported total estimated media spend reaching $1.1 billion across these accounts, highlighting the substantial scale of media agency competitions in the market.
This win gives Publicis Media responsibility for optimizing LinkedIn’s media investments across all markets as the professional platform continues to evolve its advertising offerings and expand its reach among business professionals worldwide.
Neither LinkedIn nor Publicis Media has yet disclosed the specific value of the account or detailed transition plans from the previous media partner.
