Mars, Incorporated has officially completed its acquisition of Kellanova, bringing some of the world’s most recognisable snacking brands – including Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, RXBAR, and Kellogg’s international cereal brands – under the Mars Snacking umbrella. With regulatory approvals now secured, the merger unites two powerhouse companies with long-standing brand legacies and complementary strengths.

Andrew Clarke, Global President of Mars Snacking, described the move as a “transformative moment,” highlighting the companies’ shared history of category innovation and brand-building. He said the combined organisation, now supported by more than 50,000 Mars Snacking associates worldwide, is well-positioned to deliver more consumer-loved products while accelerating innovation and sustainability commitments.
The acquisition significantly expands Mars’ presence across fast-growing snacking segments. The addition of Kellanova’s billion-dollar brands such as Pringles and Cheez-It strengthens Mars’ already extensive portfolio, which includes global favourites like SNICKERS, M&M’S, TWIX, DOVE, SKITTLES, EXTRA, KIND and Nature’s Bakery. Kellanova’s brands also enhance Mars’ Accelerator division with new complementary offerings such as RXBAR, Nutri-Grain barsand Special K bars.
Mars first announced its intent to acquire Kellanova on August 14, 2024. The deal received shareowner approval on November 1, 2024, with all regulatory clearances finalised by December 8, 2025.
With the integration now complete, Mars aims to strengthen its leadership in the global snacking industry and drive long-term growth through a broadened product lineup, expanded global reach, and continued investment in sustainable, consumer-centric innovation.
