Meta Platforms has introduced Vibes, an AI-powered short-form video feed designed to reinvent how audiences consume and create bite-sized entertainment. Available on the Meta AI app and website, Vibes allows users to instantly generate, remix, and share clips that can be distributed across Instagram and Facebook.

Unlike TikTok or Reels, where creators manually upload videos, Vibes is entirely AI-generated-producing visuals, audio, and effects on demand. Users can create videos from scratch, reimagine trending clips, or remix content from the feed, transforming short-form video into an endlessly evolving stream of synthetic creativity.
Currently in preview, Meta is collaborating with AI innovators like Midjourney and Black Forest Labs, while gradually integrating its own in-house models to power the experience.
The launch follows Meta’s June move to consolidate all AI efforts under Meta Superintelligence Labs, aligning research, foundation models, product integration, and infrastructure under one umbrella. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has positioned AI as central to Meta’s next growth phase.
With digital ad revenue growth moderating and challenges in developing its next-gen Llama 4 model, Meta sees AI-generated content as a powerful new monetization avenue. Vibes is envisioned as part of a larger AI ecosystem-spanning chatbots, image generators, and creator tools-that could reshape social media engagement and commerce.
By merging short-form video’s addictive pull with limitless generative AI output, Meta is signaling the dawn of a future where content is not just created by people but continuously co-created with algorithms.
