Meta has unveiled a new marketing campaign in India that spotlights how small businesses can connect with the right customers using simple, one-tap advertising tools on its platforms. The initiative underlines the ease and effectiveness of the Boost Post feature on Instagram and Facebook, designed especially for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The company notes that MSMEs make up nearly 92% of businesses using Meta platforms in India. Keeping this insight at the core, the campaign demonstrates how minimal effort and basic ad tools can help entrepreneurs meaningfully expand their reach. Developed by creative agency Talented and produced by Footloose Films, the campaign features relatable, everyday business owners such as a neighbourhood parlour owner, a mithai seller, a yoga teacher and a ceramic artist.
Through a series of short films, the campaign humorously shows what happens when ads reach the wrong audience, reinforcing the value of targeting the right customers for sustainable growth. Arun Srinivas, managing director and country head, Meta India, emphasised that Meta serves as a digital storefront for a large number of small businesses and remains committed to enabling growth opportunities through accessible ad solutions like Boost Post.
Talented’s founding partner Prashant Gopalakrishnan highlighted how local favourites-once known only to a few-can now reach wider audiences, helping small business owners showcase their craft to those actively looking for it. Director Indrashish Mukherjee of Footloose Films added that the creative approach relied on exaggerated mismatches to drive home the message effectively.
Beyond Boost Post, the campaign also draws attention to Meta’s broader ecosystem, including Reels, messaging tools, AI-powered Advantage+ solutions and generative AI creatives. The initiative will be amplified through partnerships with over 30 creators and rolled out digitally across India.
