Delhivery has appointed entrepreneur Milind Sharma to spearhead its rapid commerce division and D2C brand initiatives, bringing his extensive experience in quick commerce back to the company where he began his career.
As one of Delhivery’s founding team members from 2012, Sharma previously led the company’s business development efforts and scaled operations to 100,000 daily orders before venturing into other entrepreneurial pursuits. His appointment marks a strategic addition to Delhivery’s leadership as the logistics provider strengthens its position in the fast-growing quick commerce sector.
In his new role, Sharma will develop Delhivery’s rapid commerce service while managing the company’s comprehensive product portfolio for direct-to-consumer brands. He will also focus on enhancing and expanding the company’s same-day and next-day delivery capabilities nationwide.
“Rejoining Delhivery feels like a homecoming for me,” Sharma commented. “This is where I started my startup journey, and I’m eager to contribute to the next phase of growth by building the Rapid Commerce service and serving the D2C Brand segment while building on Delhivery’s strong foundation alongside the team.”
Following his initial tenure at Delhivery, Sharma co-founded PepperTap, a hyperlocal service that achieved over $200 million in annual recurring revenue. He later established Nuvo Logistics, growing it to $10 million in revenue across 75+ cities before its acquisition by Shadowfax. His most recent ventures include Flyo, a quick commerce platform, and Mabel, a jewelry commerce business.
“We’re excited to welcome Milind back to Delhivery,” said CEO Sahil Barua. “Having been part of our early journey, he understands our DNA and what it takes to build and scale in this space. His entrepreneurial mindset and deep experience in consumer businesses will be invaluable as we expand our Rapid Commerce and D2C Brands segment.”
