Mindshaft Media has introduced ‘Art Lane’, a curated pre-exhibit initiative designed to offer an early glimpse into Kolkata’s iconic Durga Puja celebrations. Scheduled from October 8 to 11, the platform provides visitors with exclusive access to 16 selected pandals ahead of the main festival period, which runs from October 12 to 21.
Positioned as a thoughtful preview of pandal artistry, ‘Art Lane’ allows audiences to explore the intricate themes, craftsmanship, and design narratives in a more relaxed environment-before peak crowds arrive. The initiative aims to enhance how people engage with Durga Puja, shifting the experience from hurried visits to a more immersive appreciation of the art and culture behind each installation.
Beyond cultural exploration, ‘Art Lane’ also opens up opportunities for brands to participate through curated activations and engagement formats, both during the preview phase and the main festival. This adds a new dimension to brand storytelling within one of India’s largest cultural events.
The concept was officially introduced at a curtain-raiser event on March 13 during Poila Parbon, bringing together pandal committees and cultural stakeholders. Organisers highlighted that the initiative is rooted in celebrating the artistic brilliance and community effort that define Durga Puja.
As large-scale festivals continue to evolve, ‘Art Lane’ reflects a growing trend of structured pre-event experiences, offering audiences a more meaningful and accessible way to connect with culture-before the celebrations reach their peak.
